  • Combat Parasites Year-Round: Fleas and ticks are a constant threat and a leading cause of severe itching and skin allergies (Flea Allergy Dermatitis or FAD).

    • Action: Use veterinarian-recommended oral or spot-on parasite preventatives consistently—do not skip a month, even during the “cooler” seasons.

  • Master the Brushing Routine: Regular brushing is vital in a humid climate. It removes dead fur that traps moisture against the skin and helps distribute natural, protective oils.

    • Action: Brush long-haired breeds daily and short-haired pets at least 3-4 times a week.
